To facilitate obtaining a financial planning designation, Lorne moved to a major bank, where for the next nine years, he acted as a banking officer, assistant manager, Executive Banker and finally Financial Planner, having obtained that designation in 2002. Subsequently, the desire to create true value for clients and to serve his clients with all their financial needs, Lorne left the bank in 2004 to join with an independent firm, where he continues to provide clients with complete financial planning.

Lorne's
involvement in the financial service industry started back in 1988,
when he joined a national trust company, working in the Estates and
Trusts department's regional office. This involved executorships of
wills, creating trusts, and settling estates, from legacies to taxation.
A move to supervisor of Corporate Trust gave Lorne the desire to work
in the investment field and shortly thereafter moved to managing RSP's
and Portfolios.
